Ekal Vidyalaya: A School In Honor of Anuj & his Father

“If you wish to make an impact for one year, plant corn; if you wish to make an impact for a generation, plant a tree; if you wish to make an impact for an eternity, educate a child”

For Anuj, education was never about one person, but instead about the entire community. In its efforts to preach Anuj's message of education for everyone, the Mohan Family has pledged to fund an elementary school in rural India. The school started in association with a grassroots organization called Ekal Vidyalaya (One School) opened its doors on November 1st, 2010. The Ekal movement is the largest, non-government education movement in India, operating in over 34,343 villages and educating over 1,030,290 children in rural India.

In keeping with our mission in mind, the school is dedicated to the loving memory of Anuj and his father Aditya Mohan and will continue to operate for many years to come. With the idea of building from the ground up, the school will be providing children with elementary level education.

Our goal as always is to make Anuj's dream of recognizing any and all opportunities of providing less fortunate children with the power of quality education, a reality. This is just another step in doing the same. Anuj will be proud to see the impact that a child can bring after receiving education at this school. With the hope that these children will help cultivate an entire community, here is wishing them success in the years to come.
