Pebble Beach

After last week's Super Bowl, the sporting world's attention shifted across the continent to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, just south of the San Francisco Bay Area, this weekend. It is here that the annual AT&T Golf Pro-Am at Pebble Beach is taking place. Like many others, Anuj enjoyed the stunning vistas and pervasive tranquility of Monterey Bay and the majestic beauty of its numerous golf courses.

Anuj on his first trip to Pebble beach. He and Neal drove down the picturesque Pacific Coast Highway to get there. Winter 1996.

On a return trip many years later, this time with the rest of the family. Fall 2002.

It's so obvious from this picture, the loving bond between you all. As a family, you shared all the big events in life, but the simple, beautiful ones as well like a walk on the beach. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. And similarly, these pictures are worth a thousand memories.

Miss you dear Anuj and Mausaji,
-Ruby

After 8 months, on this 11Th day of the month I was reminded of Anuj in a way being around me, playing sneak-a-peak, but like any mother, I could sense his presence, as I got up early this morning.

Again all of a sudden I heard the same soft, sweat & mild voice of my beloved son Anuj's wrist watch as his alarm went of exactly at 7 in the morning.

I actually heard Anuj's voice saying,
" MOM WHERE ARE MY ALL THE GRAMMY AWARD ALBUMS, KEEP THEM VERY SAFE WITH YOU ".

And tonight as I am watching the GRAMMY AWARDS ON T.V. I SEE MY ANUJ IN EACH & EVERY STAR , AS IF MY ANUJ IS STANDING & SINGING.

On one of his first few calls home after coming to MIT, I remember Anuj informing me that he bought a CD/ cassette player as one of his first purchases for his room, and not a study table or a chair to sit on, just because he was so passionate about music. For him, music was not just something that one listens to relax his mind, but instead almost a Divine Power, a power that transports him to another world, where his mind is free of all other thoughts, where he can concentrate on anything that he wishes to put his mind to.

Anuj I will always keep your Grammy Winner Albums and your whole music collention with utmost care and love.

I really miss him.
