Mother's Day

Mother's Day is the day when all the mothers of the world are honored for helping us become who we are today. Anuj would almost always be the first one to wish Mom a "Happy Mother's Day" be it in person or over the phone and in the customary fashion would always take her out to brunch on this special day in May. Throughout the years, he showed his appreciation for Mom by giving her gifts that she could cherish for the rest of her life. Adjacent is a beautiful charm picture that Anuj painted at school for Mother's Day '83.

It is 11 months yesterday our Anuj left us for ever & tomorrow is Mothers Day.
All the memories of past mothers day are so clear in my mind as if it is yesterday.

Framed Picture of my Graduation, Betty Cooker cook book, Frying pan,
Journal to write, Home made Chocolate Cake & plenty of Chocolate cookies baked by himself, all reminds me of the past HAPPY MOTHERS DAYS with his ever smiling face.

Anuj your mother never going to forget those sweet memories, & will keep them with her till she meet you & your daddy.

Really Love you & miss you a lot

With the Wharton Class of ’07 graduating on May 13th, 2007 which just happened to be Mothers’ Day, it was a sad yet proud moment for mom. Though her beloved Anuj was not there physically to accept the honor of graduating from a great school, and the Posthumous degree he received would never replace that, yet I can only hope that it brought her little comfort in knowing that Anuj was a proud graduate of Class of ’07 from the Wharton School of Business.

Dearest Deepa Aunty,
One can clearly see the beautiful bond between you and Anuj from these precious pictures. It is all the more moving to learn that Anuj was honored at Wharton's graduation on Mother's Day. You have touched and continue to touch the lives so many through your extraordinary children.

A posthumous degree of M.B.A. for Anuj is a way for him to say “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.” Anuj is not amidst us today but he sure made his Mom really proud of him. We miss Anuj dearly.

Dear Deepa Mausi,
You were in our minds and hearts on Mother's Day because you represent everything about what a loving mother is and should be. You are a role model to all women out there and are truly a very special mom. And Mother's Day this year was so meaningful to us because dear Anuj was honored with the posthumous degree of M.B.A. by Wharton. We are so proud of dearest Anuj and his accomplishments. He is our shining star.
With love,
Meena and Walid

Well, I don't know if they are really related, but in terms of motherhood.
Anuj thought that the reason he was so easy going was because while
you were carrying him that you weren't worried and were happy and that
ended up forming his brain and therefore his disposition.
He probably already had told you his theory. This is one of
his theories I agree with.
